The Feminine Touch

John Hathaway is a professor of psychology at Digby College. His students are bored as he is with the students. He leaves college to go to New York to have his manuscript on jealousy published. John and Julie go to Elliott Morgan Publishing to discuss his book. Being that it is highly technical and boring, Nellie wants to focus on the small part about couples that she thinks will sell. But it soon becomes apparent that everyone is more intrigued by Julie than the book. Elliott tries to make advances on Julie while Nellie is more interested in John than his book. Julie, however, is worried about John, while John, who wrote the book on jealousy, seems oblivious to it and thinks that he knows everything about jealousy.

Gidget Gets Married

After more than a year of engagement, and after Jeff (moondoggie) secures a good job with a large company, he and Gidget set a date for their wedding. After a blissful but all too short honeymoon they set off across country to florida where Jeff's job is waiting for him. Gidget soon discovers, however, that the companies influence extends too far into the personal lives of its employees and she sets about trying to correct things, much to the horror of the companies management.

The grieving father is shown the error of his assumption by the ghost of his grandfather, who through flashbacks details the good things about the son's short term on Earth, and the wonderful life that the druggist himself has enjoyed.

The Magnificent Dope
    Starring: Don Ameche, Henry Fonda & Lynn Bari

Dwight Dawson, who runs an unsuccessful success school, stages a contest to find the biggest failure in the USA, for publicity value when the "dope" takes his course. But winner Tad Page is contented with his idle, lazy life and threatens to convert Dawson's other students to his philosophy. Dawson capitalizes on Tad's attraction to Claire Harris to win him over; but will Tad find out Claire is really engaged to Dawson?

Moon Over Miami

Kay, Barbara and Susan Latimer come into a small legacy when they expected a large one, then abandon the Texas greasy-spoon where they work to hunt in Miami for rich husbands, said to be plentiful there. Barbara and Susan posing as the secretary and maid of "wealthy" Kay, they check into a posh hotel, and soon Kay is in the delightful predicament of being pursued by two handsome, wealthy bachelors at once. But Musical Comedy Complications arise. Much singing and dancing including the number "You Started Something".

Another Funny and Musical Work From the 40's. An entertainer (Ameche) in Rio impersonates a wealthy aristocrat (also Ameche). When the aristocrat's wife (Faye) asks him to carry the impersonation further, complications ensue.

Wing and a Prayer
    Starring: Don Ameche & Dana Andrews

An aircraft carrier is sent on a decoy mission around the Pacific, with orders to avoid combat, thus lulling Japanese alertness before the battle of Midway. All the men have their individual worries and concerns, but become increasingly frustrated at their avoidance of combat, for reasons unknown to them. But in the end, all get their chance to fight.

You Can't Have Everything

Starving playwright Judith Wells meets playboy writer of musicals, Gordon Macrae, over a plate of stolen spaghetti. He persuades producer Sam Gordon to buy her ridiculous play "North Winds" just to improve his romantic chances, and even persuades her to sing in the sort of show she pretends to despise. But just when their romance is going well, Gordon's former flame Lulu reveals the ace up her sleeve...
