Not only did they have trouble finding the money, but they had to deal with a horde of mean, bloodthirsty indians and a couple of conniving white men intent on getting the money or themselves. Typical western with plenty of gunplay, horses, and action.

An Annapolis Story

When he turns again to robbery he's caught by a cop and Nick pumps all his bullets into him in frustration. Morton's appeal to the court emphasizes the evils of the slums.

When an innocent man is given a full pardon and released from prison, he sets out to find a new town to make a fresh start in. Along the way he meets up with a young kid. Soon the two are mistaken for train robbers, but not before the kid is left a cripple by an irate posse. When the two are cleared of the crime, the town appoints them Sheriff & Deputy. Before long, the bitter Deputy foolishly decides to make the town pay for his injury, and the Sheriff must choose sides.

Scandal Sheet

Gripping story line fueled by some heavy duty irony. Crawford plays a ruthless tabloid newspaper editor who has the tables turned on him when he commits a crime, then finds himself having to encourage his top reporter to get to the bottom of the story, in order to deflect suspicion. Top notch suspense as Crawford gambles that he can keep his cool and get away with it, even as the walls close in and the odds look worse and worse. Crawford is at his no-nonsense, take no prisoners, mince-no-words best, and able support from a young John Derek and Donna Reed (smoking cigarettes and a little less squeaky clean than usual). Good stuff.
