The pilot for the 1976-1981 TV series focuses on the Angels' very first case. When a wealthy winegrower disappears, the three private investigators go undercover at the vineyard to track down the whereabouts of the body. If the body doesn't turn up in a certain amount of time, the inheritance will be presented to the man's second wife, Rachel, instead of his long-lost daughter, Janet. Many of the scenes used in the opening credits of the show are from this pilot episode.

This sprawling bio-pic is about Barbara Hutton, heiress to the immense Woolworth store fortune. She was married 7 times. Cary Grant was one of her husbands. He was the only one to renounce all claims to her fortune, yet the couple was  called "Cash and Cary". Hutton's life took her to exotic locales like Denmark and Morocco. Nearly all of her husbands treated her poorly. A social butterfly, she was a bad mother to her only son whose death in a plane crash broke her heart.

Based on the factual book by Ann Rule, Farrah Fawcett in the role of real-life US postal worker Diane Downs. Mrs. Downs drives her three children to the local hospital's emergency entrance: one child is already dead, and the other two have been seriously wounded. Diane claims that the killer was a man who'd tried to steal her car. But the police think otherwise. The prosecutor rips apart Diane's story in court. What comes to surface is a tawdry tale of a neurotic, narcissistic woman who is pushed over the edge when spurned by her lover.
