On his journey to Puerto Grande, he meets up with a man who says he will protect him. In reality, he is the Police Informer and once The Fugitive realizes this, he is back on the run, but the Police Informer is never far behind along with the authorities.

She persuades the Chisholms to give him a ride on their way to California. They are stopped by Duke Mantee and his gang who take the car. Alan walks back to warn Gabby but Mantee is already there. Alan signs over his insurance policy to Gabby and arranges for Mantee to kill him. A posse arrives and Alan is shot in the battle. He dies in Gabby's arms knowing she can realize her dream of studying art in Paris.

Rings on Her Fingers

A wagon load of prostitutes led by "entrepeneur" Zar shows up and together with Blue, they rebuild the town. But Molly's desire for revenge and her anger at Blue for not protecting her eat at her, and Blue promises that things will be different when the stranger returns. And return he does.
