Saturday mornings in the 70’s came alive on ABC’s ‘Kroft Super Show’. A show that was filled with cartoons, live action serials, & plenty of bubblegum music, which was furnished by the show’s hosts: Kaptain Kool & The Kongs. They were a band that was fronted by Michael Lembeck, who went on to have a degree of success in sitcoms like ‘One Day at a Time’ & numerous guest shots on TV Shows. Though they band did not play their own music, they did however, sing all the songs on this lost & rare album. They even made an appearance on ‘American Bandstand’ in support of the album when it was released in 1976.

The Last Time I Saw Archie

"The Last Time I Saw Archie" is a series of comedy vignettes hooked on a true life situation - a stateside camp consisting of "leftovers" from a program designed to train pilots too old for combat duty during WWII. Archie Hall, a schemer who manages to convince everyone around him that he's more important than his rank indicates. Webb is Pvt. Bill Bowers (the same man who wrote the screenplay), the buddy who goes along for the ride. During the course of the film, Archie avoids all the mundane duties of military life, finds girlfriends for himself and Bowers, and secures an unrestricted pass and a private jeep.
