out that they plan to rob the bank and burn the town to the ground.Murphy
tries to warn the citizens, but their prejudice against him makes them reluctant
to listen. But Sheriff James Best, an old friend of Murphy's, DOES believe,
and he organizes the citizens to defend the town.
The
Quiet American

In this adaptation of Graham Greene's prophetic novel about U.S. foreign
policy failure in pre-war Indochina, Audie Murphy plays an innocent Young
American opposite the older, cynical Brit, Michael Redgrave. They play out
their widely different views on the prospects stuggle for the hearts and
minds of the Vietnamese people in their competition over a young woman. Murphy
wants to reform her and make her a typical middle class American housewife;
Redgrave accepts her inability to formulate or retain a political ideal and
while promising her no real future, he objects to Murphy's attempts to change
her. It's not clear whether Murphy is just what he appears - a bungling Yankee
do-gooder - or a deliberate agent of U.S. covert operations, but he ends
up an expendable pawn in this struggle.

their own quarrels (and threats on the Colonel's life), they arrive at the
fort and mount their attack.

Set in California in 1850. At the time, California was
a newly acquired land of the United States. America had signed a treaty to
protect the Mexicans living in the area, which it was not living up to. When
some American outlaws murder the father of Paula Castillo (Hayworth billed
as Cansino) she goes to Washington to make a petition for help to protect
her people and their homes and bring peace. In response to her plea, the
president sends Captain John Carroll (Tom Keene) to enforce the treaty, bring
about peace and see to it that the outlaws stop stealing their land.

Shortly after the end of World War II, British Colonel
Michael 'Hooky' Nicobar is assigned to a unit in the British Zone of Vienna.
His duty is to aid the Soviet authorities to repatriate citizens of the Soviet
Union, many of whom prefer not to return to their home country. Billeted
in the convent run by Mother Auxilia, Nicobar, and his military aides Major
John 'Twingo' McPhimister and Audrey Quail, become involved in the plight
of a young ballerina who is trying to avoid being returned to Moscow. Nicobar's
sense of duty is tested as he sees first hand the plight of the people he
is helping return to the Soviet Union; his lack of religious faith is also
shaken by his contact with the Mother Superior.

River Robin Hood

Arriving in Red River to join their
friend Chet Andrews in the ownership of a cattle ranch, Jim Carey and his
pal Ike discover that Chet has been jailed for resisting the efforts
of a swindler, Scott Yager, to evict him from the ranch. Yager, through a
Spanish land grant, and with the help of a crooked Judge, has proven ownership
to all the land in the Red River territory. He and his henchmen have been
evicting all of the ranchers who won't pay rent on their own ranches. Jim
and Ike gain the confidence of a crusading newspaper editor, Sam Sterling
and his daughter Carol. Jim and Ike, dressed in black robes and masks, attend
a meeting ot the ranchers and offer to help them. They join Yager's gang
and, following orders, collect the rent money, but then don their robes as
Mr. Justice, and hold up Yager's other collectors and return the money. Jim
breaks into Yager's office and finds proof that the land grant is a fake,
but Yager discovers the robes worn by Jim and Ike, both as Mr. Justice, and
has two of his henchmen wear them and take money from the ranchers, thus
breaking their confidence in "Mr. Justice." And then, Jim and Ike are captured
by Yager.

than thrilled to have to take the remaining girls on with him. But it has
to be said that Mary is damn easy on the eyes.
The Rounders

Ben and Howdy are a couple of aging cowboys who bust broncos out
of Sedona for Jim Ed Love, a slick operator if ever there was one. Sisters,
Meg and Agatha, have their eyes on Ben and Howdy, but the boys aren't ready
to settle down yet. They spend the winter in the high country corralling
more than 100 stray cattle at $7 a head for Jim Ed. Most years, they blow
their winter pay in one spring night at a Sedona bar, but this year, Ben
and Howdy have a plan: to take an ornery roan that Ben has been unable to
break and bet their bankroll that no cowboy at the Sedona rodeo can stay
on the horse. What will they do if they win - marry the sisters or head for
Tahiti?

When an innocent man is given a full pardon and released from prison,
he sets out to find a new town to make a fresh start in. Along the way he
meets up with a young kid. Soon the two are mistaken for train robbers,
but not before the kid is left a cripple by an irate posse. When the two
are cleared of the crime, the town appoints them Sheriff & Deputy. Before
long, the bitter Deputy foolishly decides to make the town pay for his injury,
and the Sheriff must choose sides.
The Running Man
